Gianna's Scholarship Foundation is a nonprofit organization to honor the life of Gianna Rose Delgado after her passing. Gianna was a brilliant, dedicated young woman with the world ahead of her. She had an exceptionally bright future waiting for her, as she hoped to be a criminal justice attorney to fight against the inequality and injustices she saw in the system by using the ​strength in her voice for the ameliorations she thought were needed in this world.

These dreams and ambitions Gianna held were seized from her in minutes on the night of June 21, 2021. Gianna was taken from her friends, family, and community through an act of domestic violence by her ex-partner. Now, as the process of seeking justice has begun on her behalf legally, the foundation formed on the grounds to ensure Gianna's purpose would never leave with her. Instead, be used to make some of the changes and help individuals in similar situations like Gianna's, with full certainty the way she would've if she were able to see her dreams through as planned.

Our mission for Gianna's Scholarship Foundation is to bring awareness to domestic violence by educating ourselves and supporting others, fundraising through sales and our donors in which all proceeds will go toward the foundation's annually distributed scholarship, and one day be used to sponsor any bills based on the legal changes we hope to see in the future of our criminal justice system.

The scholarship details and updates will be soon to come this spring in order to accept applicants for the following academic year of 2022-2023. The scholarship will be granted to a university student on the pre-law or criminal justice track to honor the same path and encourage the work Gianna was passionate about.
